In the bleak midwinter

In the bleak midwinter

I find myself

looking around my grave

and trying to purge the sinner

that I've become these days.


My sins are unforgettable

yet I still hope they are forgivable,

that's why I'm freezing here in the snow,

reflecting about everything wrong

that I've done in my miserable

and short life, just to create new locks

so I could contain my inner wild wolf.


Maybe I've said this before. I don't care.

The thing is that I'm lost.

And my stoic personality says

that I must not stop,

I have to keep walking my way.


Sometimes it's hard

to act like everything is fine,

like if I even had a plan,

though I don't know truly who I am.

Nowadays the world and I

are running by different tracks.

To live in spite of this is tough.

 

Very nice, I can relate to this! Sometimes we have to act like there is nothing wrong because it can be very hard to explain what we are going through. Dicho esto, lo más probable es que su poema se traslade al Foro llamado Torre de Babel porque ese es el único foro que tiene permitido publicar en un idioma diferente. Truly profound from beginning to end. To look at ones grave on a bleak midwinter, is already quite the reflection. The cold, the self awareness of ones demons and still live a parallel life that seems normal so very well expressed in this composition.
I’ve truly enjoyed it.
