Before the forbidden

Sometimes we give up
to what we wish most
because sometimes
they forbid us
what we most want,
or because they tell us
that we only are allowed
to we have the right to.

Sometimes
they require us to stop
before the prohibited,
although only to humans
they forbid
which is prohibited.

But sometimes we say
that our blood is a river,
that our chest is a volcano,
that our body is fire ...

But
who prevents a river from overflowing?
Who prevents a volcano from throwing flames?
Who forbids the calcining fire?

And yet
they require us to be human,
and we have to be human
to quit to everything
which is prohibited.
