I couldn't , wouldn't, didn't make you happy
No matter how hard I tried.
I wanted to tackle the demons you carried
While those of my own were devouring me alive.

I couldn't, wouldn't, didn't save you
No matter how many tears I cried.
My 'safe haven' was nothing to you but a failure
And that was the blow that I couldn't withstand.
