covid's microscopic ass

I have a vague memory
of listening to live music in the past,
I think it was last year, 2020, but it wasn’t bluegrass
and it wasn’t rock and roll neither, but Justin Bieber.

I recall lasers, speakers stacked tall
and a large crowd, dancing, holding hands or applauding,
just like when you make handmade tortillas and everybody's hungry
but happy and having fun.

I don’t remember
ever missing live music this hard
in my short ( I’m young ) memorable life
or as much as a big hug. Hopefully we’ll have plenty
of bear hugs and tunes once this sad- covid song is over and we kick
his or her microscopic ass.
