If you forgive, my friend, the one who offends you,
the Lord will love you as a good son.
And blessed favors and laurels,
your companions will be.

To forgive is to take from the soul a ballast
and get a well earned relief.
To forgive is to love our Father
and love our brother, too.

Forgive us all, that life
reward with more, with honors,
to benevolent and friendly souls
of good deeds.
