love what's in your mind

I know you like to sneak up on me
when I’m deep in thought and
get a peek at my notes.

I’m a bit protective because
I don’t want to be made fun of, at times.
I know you already suspect I’m doing more
than just writing, that I’m bouncing my eye sight
between my notebook and yours with raising eyebrows.

The whole experience of us with a silent laugh in this crazy meeting
feels so special. God knows why but It also feels weird me getting paid for it.

but being humble or as real as you are,

Dear Flor,
sometimes I write when I am asleep, or half awake
and that’s when mistakes happen. Yet, I know my English sucks
but you “got me” and I’ll correct it.

Indeed or as you know this has been an incredibly difficult year
but poetry and the vaccine are, I believe, a ray of hope for all. Then, you guessed right,
you took a glance into one of my “once a month” meeting days and this beautiful person,
a friend of mine, makes my work at the hospital interesting since she always wants to know about my notes.

I got the shot and feel a little sore but in good spirits and, God willing,
kind of ready for my second dose on the 11th of January.

sometimes I love to know...well, your comment set me to thinking so many things. In other words, seems like you have unleashed so many ideas. Then, the joy of learning from women, as you might know, it’s a journey of a lifetime, and trust me...this experience comes once to come no more...so, Ain’t life wonderful or better on the second floor of any mall anywhere USA….up there you find the food court, appliances, electronics and of course, or as always....the lingerie dept..

Guadalupe, I know, the title needs a little more work, well, the whole damn writing, but the most important thing is that you came and your visit made possible this long response and of which explains a lot about nothing. I think someone tampered with these beers, they taste like hot pepper.
