spring

My poetry
lives alone this time of year,
it doesn’t want to know where I’m at
takes time off, my brain goes quiet and
celebrating that I’m here and now, It’s almost
like as if it has returned from somewhere.

My love
for the words has taken a turn,
a good turn, not sure for how long and
know these aren’t my home but there’s
something about you that take me back to them.

After these words
I suppose I will go quiet again
off the road every spring, as always.
I just love sitting on the top of this hill
looking out the ocean until the air takes a chill
no voices around and I leave notes of thanks for all the birds.

Cecy,
thanks for sharing your time. Short trips to the sea..
there’s one or more of these I take to enjoy – besides
laughs, food and music – silence, reflection and mindfulness
at the beach or top of a beautiful cape. (such a beautiful sight).
Other times I love visiting the desert, high country or vast valleys.

Poetry is beginning to bother me a bit, I’m sunburned, nearly broke of words and tired of searching.
It’s like I’m from another planet, always clear, though, invisible, which helps but the thought of being poetry less is terrifying. Nevertheless, poetry and I were talking and sincerely wish all special thoughts would be consistently delivered to the person who ordered them. This would close the loop and ensure thoughts or messages go to the right heart, wishes or place but that’s the greatest mystery.

Anyhow,
I know it is a busy time for both of us, so thanks.
