Guns are cool

guns are cool
especially if you get shot
and not me,
guns are good and easy
with two liters of alcohol
in the veins,
you can put them where they itch
and see the notch
of the silver bullet with
your name on it,
dodging bullets of the live
flies buzz
deadly parables
missed shots
that hit some child's heart,
dodging death bullets
flashes that hurt the night
and splash the moon,
I can not open my eyes
I don't want to know
where it comes from,
the trigger of blue destiny
who kills people.

 

how sad... even as a joke ... guns are not cool at all...
straight bullets cut lives short and bring sorrows and pain...
to those that remain behind, asking the heavens why?

and other criminal organizations, a Russian roulette game,
but in schools or ripping the hearts out of children?

I suppose this is life, weird, threatening, and for some,
the joy of the pencil is well worth the anguish of others...after all,
Hitler was a remarkably human being for some…their poetic dude for white supremacy.

I don't know if guns are cool. I had a gun pointed at me by a so-called friend; however, he did not have the guts to pull the trigger the danm idiot. I am not afraid of dying so the experience made me stronger and boulder so yeah I thanked the fool. We had an unfortunate incident in our state that cannot be erased innocent lives died, now are gone and there is no turning back...

 

I think you misunderstood the poem. "Guns are cool" is an ironic title that speaks of the lack of control of weapons. So guns are cool tell that to the senators who have this whole issue blocked in Congress.

No, I don't believe that I misunderstood the poem, I understand your point of view and just shared my experience with a gun. Whether they are good or bad is like beauty it is up to who is holding it and what the intentions of the heart are. I can tell you that I live in a state that will argue till they are blue in the face and will defend their constitutional right to bear arms. We live this every day and see it every day as I am sure you do. Until you have a gun aimed at your face you do not realize how brave or how much of a coward you can be, I suffered that experienced and more, but I am also a realist to know at least for now things are not going to change.

I disagree, guns are not cool, sorry. But the prose was nice.
