I found a corner in my mind
it's one well hidden, hard to find.
Last night, I walked in there

pure chance and to my grand surprise
I smiled, I found the corner occupied.

I came across a thought of you
of us, those precious moments
lost in time, buried in sand
a desert storm, one stronger than
than our own embrace amid
that second of a life that in

a second seeped away.

I did not run, though it was not for lack of want
I stayed to cry to feel the pain of having
left ajar the door, leaving that corner

quite exposed, a simple fragile rose
to weather out a tumultuous
desert

storm.

Lluviadeabril, what a sad poem, but in fact is so true what you said there. All the good things and moments completly vanished in a few seconds maybe because the door of our heart was unlocked or we didn't take care of them like they were suppoused to be taken care.
Greetings from me!. Love

Yup! A very smart poet on this site recently said something to me that [although I'd heard it before] resounded clearly in my head "regret is a high price to pay" or something along those lines...

Thank you so much for stopping by, hugs.

Sad, sad, sad, tell me, what do I need to put on ansmile on your face?
I think... well in fact, I don't Know what to say but i'll say what I think it´s correct so... everyone has corners closed by a heavy door that somehow... the softiest wind can move, when that happens... we feel what you felt here, but life's like this and we have to move on, besides... there's a you and there's a me, and I think I can put a smile upon your face as a friend.
A sad pleasure to read you, I'll keep on with it.

A ton of smiles to my face you bring when
at my door to share your thoughts you kindly ring.
I read them well and say don't fret
there is not a corner in my mind that I regret.
Your thoughts and words of friendship I accept,
of course, with a huge smile on my face.

Thank you so much for stopping by...a pleasure to greet you...
