Cigarrete

I hold in my hands
a firefly that slowly dies
while I stare at the night sky.
Suddenly… I hear a furious beast
that quickly passes by
tearing the silent of the night
With a melancholic roar.
And time keeps running,
quietly, almost catatonic,
fearful that it comes to end soon
like the light from the lamp
that lights the dark
standing still in the street
waiting for the dawn​
