De noche, bajo la lámpara tímida
se vislumbran sus rostros hambrientos;
es una imagen gris, casi mística…
ahí el sonido del choque de tenedores,
de cucharas se ausenta; al ser sustituidos
por huesudos y ansiosos dedos,
que apresan las patatas cocidas
en simple agua con sal;
no hay más compañías,
ni de tomates, ni de queso, ni de tortillas…
Solo patatas, un producto de esfuerzos;
las misma manos que remueven al sembrar,
buscaban con avidez el fruto en sus platos
[I]para llevarlo ansiosos al paladar…[/I]
[B][I]Dura vida extraída de la tierra por tubérculos,[/I][/B]
