El grano de trigo aun en la espiga define su inmediato final
A tiempo se presentó la pobreza de la oz en este sembrar
Los bueyes y carreta aun están en campo de vecinos lejanos
Como preparará catutos para el mate junto al viejo brasero
Quizá los porotos tengan mejor suerte a la hora de la cosechar

Ya no tiene la fuerza de ese verano en que domó el potrillo
Y nunca encontró mas sentido a la vida que ver su huerta florecer
