Who decides whether you’re a poet or not?
Who has that kind of power
over word,
over meaning,
over the human element?
Why should you suppress or hide the very voice
that defines and proclaims you,
that gives you life with a path to the eternal.
Who cares if you Harvest playful aphorisms
or bloodthirsty epics,
if the same you navegate
the “en corsage” classic riddle
or an out-of-whack avant-garde proposition.
Why not scream it out loud to the four winds:
that today you are a poet.

Why not say it?
“Today you are, I’m, we’re poets.”
But, as you well know,
tomorrow someone will arrive to measure with rigor
your tangled-up complaint,
to deconstruct the bridge
—that we have crossed together—
with a newly born doubt
and your poem will rest in some filthy street drain
refused and ignored by the godly followers
of the powerful.
and Me? I’ll just stay in front of the mirror,
dreaming-up the next metaphor (or something else);

I’m just saying.

 

We are all poets.

In the world of the printed word,
everything will be said when there is nobody on earth.

So I maintain and I repeat:

Nothing is written ... still.

About your phylosophical view of the written word I much rather say, and prefer saying: "something is written, we just don't fully understand it yet."

 

Something is written, something will be written... but, finally, everything will leave with the wind. I'm just saying.

I'm in love with it, who has the right to decide who is the poet? I think no one does. Being a poet is making our art in the most beautiful way; writting.

 

I line with you, my dear partner, and I think like Becquer who said: "While it exist girls in the world ir will have Poetry".

Pero veo que capturas la escencia y el mensaje de esta pieza, inclusive el "slang" que comprende la pieza central del titulo. Lo tengo en espanol, vere cuando lo subo. No se si mi version en ingles sea totalmente consistente con el original en espanol.

Some of us, like me, are an "out-of-whack avant-garde proposition." Sorry, but I love this prase and just had to say [write it].
