¿Sabes cuántas veces he dicho "Te amo"?
En mi pensamiento la cuenta perdí;
Una en la mañana, otra por la noche,
otra al saludarte y al decir adiós.

¿Sabes cuántas veces dije un "Te quiero"?
Si mi pensamiento pudieras saber!
Cada vez que pienso en besar tu nombre
en suave susurro escapa mi sentir.

¿Sabes cuantas veces añore mirarte?
Sentir tu presencia y tu respirar;
Cada parpadeo, en cada suspiro,
cada madrugada y cada despertar.

¿Sabes cuantas veces pronuncie tu nombre?
Cual dulce murmullo de agua al pasar;
Al ver una estrella, al oler las rosas,
al reír un niño y al sentir el sol.

¿Sabes cuantas veces suspiré al pensarte?
En cada palabra, en cada rincon;
Vuelvo la mirada y siempre estas tú
como mariposa volando hacia mi.

Ya que lo has pensado y lo sabes claro
Solo una cosa queda preguntar:
Muchas veces he dicho "Te amo"
pero ¿Cuántas veces tuve que callar?
