    She loved her fig tree
I believe it loved her too
In the mornings she would rush to it and eat the fruit

Knew the birds would try to get there first
The tree was young, strong and healthy
    She was not
Her final days were painful and agonizing
    The tree felt her pain
One night it broke in two and fell
The branches leaned against her room and slowly died
    Why did the tree die?
    Did it die of sadness?

    poeta Juan Pablo,
a tree is a blessing that gives us shade,
it also reflects life, yesterday and tomorrow, special moments...
your poem and its message are most interesting to me, or as the saying goes; food for meditation.

    kindly,

    fidel guerra.

There is a tree that is just outside my window, it's oak, and I believe that it feels and has a personality all its own. If your poem is an inspiration, because I don't ever assume, it is beautiful. However, if it is real, I am sorry for your loss.

    Hugs from Texas,

I perceive that your poem, dear friend and poet Juan Pablo, is very interesting because I conceive it almost as a poetic fable: among other things, your imagination - without limits - turns a fictional short story into touching verses, with the intention that the reader makes part of them. The final moral could be in the reader's mind. And, as in the fable, people, animals and an inanimate being intervene, which thanks to your prodigious mind, thinks and acts possessed of a love without limits. Perhaps it (or maybe, "he") died of love because sadness usually only kills when it's the product of uncontrollable love.

With my congratulations, another big and fraternal hug,

    Ulpiano
