A place in time

Oh, how I miss her!

Death,

merciless, ruthless death,

took her from me.

It took her body,

her frail and helpless body

but not her soul

Her soul stayed with me!

refusing to go,

she waits for me.

I can feel her presence, her warmth

At nights we talk, we drink

and we dance until I can dance no more.

It is my imagination, I know that,

but somewhere in time there is a place

where there is no past, no present and no future

There, and for all eternity,

she gazes into my eyes

and holding my hands

tells me how much she loves me.

but "still" instead of stayed is a more colloquial way to say... nice work

From what I have read, this is not an unusual experience--to feel the presence of a departed loved one. I don't think it is your imagination.

Some people say that faith in God is childish and irrational because we cannot prove that God exists and we cannot even see him. But I feel his presence wherever I go, the presence of the one in whom "we live and move and have our being." You might be an atheist or an agnostic, but these are just my views, and I don't mean to impose them on you.
