Prisoner of her absence


In the jail of her absence
the soul is imprisoned,
you live with the pain,
with the inconsequential presumption,
with the chains of memory...


Hope is denied, courage is difficult.
You learn
that neither with love nor sacrifice
can achieve the prodigy of making present
her presence.


There are no horizons...
You lose track of all
that does not bring to mind
her memory.

Sorrows accumulate
while everything is filled with her absence:
surreptitious company
that mocks the bars of this jail
of her absence.


And the days are photocopied
limply
in infinite files that are making eternal
the inescapable anguish.


And one is sentenced
to perpetual sadness!
