    Tragaluz hambriento,
    no baja la persiana,
    (ni con fuerza ni con maña,
    no quiere, no se deja.)
    Se hace grande el agujero,
    retumban en el fondo
    los truenos silenciosos.

    Tragaluz gosetua,
    ez du pertsiana jaisten,
    (ez indarrez, ez trebetasunez,
    ez du nahi, ez da uzten.)
    Zuloa handitu egiten da,
    barrenean burrunba
    egiten dute trumoi isilak.

    Hungry skylight,
    won't lower the blind,
    (neither with force nor with skill,
    won't want to, won't let it.)
    The hole grows larger,
    the silent thunders
    rumbles deep inside.
