Grasping the pen

Once again I grasp the pen
hoping the words come out from my head,
sometimes it does
sometimes it does not.

Once again I grasp the pen
hoping my feelings flow
hoping the ink wont stop,
sometimes it does
sometimes it does not.

Once again I grasp the pen
and tears come down trough my face
and I hope it stops
sometimes it does
sometimes it does not

Once again I grasp the pen
hoping the words match
hoping the sentences rhymes
hoping for it to last
maybe it would
maybe it would not.

Once again I leave the pen
right on the desk
where it'll remain
untill I grasp it again​

 

Boy, how I do enjoy your poems. The feelings are always right there, jumping of the page straight into my heart. After reading this I almost feel scarred to sit down and write. Maybe I should just leave the pen where it is. You just never know what will happen. Sometimes we suprise ourselves, sometimes we do not.
