You can’t have forgotten all those words that we said
But in the end we forget that we are just rain in the sand

Why did you have to go
When you were the only one I had, I know
I should let you grow
But it hurts to see how I’ve lost you
So sit behind me one more time
So far are those days when I kept quiet how I felt
So let me be what I was for you
Wait, have I been nothing but a lie?
But in the end we forget that we are just rain in the sand

Memories, are all forgotten now
You have gone and with you my faith has gone too
Let me tell myself that
I can get you out of my dreams
Let me know that all the tears
Are lost like drops of rain in the sand
