As a plaintive whisper carved in scarlet blood
My soul pales in mortuary mud
May the wind carry my song from the grave
With its soothing notes and gloomy rave.

The tears I cried will be buried deep
Eternal companions of my ever-lasting sleep
So sad not to be able to come out and peep
Take a last look to what I left behind
Kiss your lips so sweet and kind.

So little time and here is the day
My short life weaves me and fades away.

    Twinkling star, don’t leave
    Please stay
    Decorate my tomb
    With rotten flowers of May.

I will miss the warm touch of the golden sun
The rainy lands of hopeful green
These are to my sight gone
    Never again to be seen.

No more lonely nights by the peaceable sea
No more silver moon reflections are left for me.

A wonderfully gloomy gothic ode, very well constructed, excellent English! I can see you standing by a fresh grave, with muddy boots and black overcoat, the rain mixing with the tears streaming down the pale skin of your face. Superb verbal picture, nice job...

What Jaguey said, but like...in a deeper kinda way :p , i liked it Raven, your gloominess is so contagious, your talent so floatacious (que?!!), outstanding.
