"Cold War"

I thought the war was done,
I thought peace would dominate my life,
I thought I would have my own life,
I thought I will be happy,
But it was just an illusion.

The beginning of something was coming.
The beginning of the greed,
The beginning of the envy,
Of the separation of my country,
The separation of Berlin.

Just two, United States, Soviet Union,
The Superpowers,
Making such a noise
That nobody can stop.
Making this absurd competence,
That has nothing to do with life,
That has nothing to do with life.

I saw people dying,
I saw children crying,
Surrounded in disconcert,
Surrounded in desperation,
I saw thousands of soldiers, weapons,
Destroying houses, lifes, hopes.
I saw two countries,
Fighting, competing,
Racing a race that never existed.

Weapons right here,
Weapons right there,
Using terror,
To control us,
To manage us,
They’re just playing,
Plying with our lifes.

The Cold War,
Is just what it is,
Fights, terror, competition,
Competition for machines, money,
The Cold War,
The ambition for the power.:::triste::: ​
