    A doppelganger is supposed to be a ghostly apparition that appear as a double or a twin. It was a pleasure to read and learn from your poem, I have never heard this term and it was interesting to search information…

    Tender and shocking poem, dear poet and friend aldocm80, your prodigious imagination shares with us. There is a coherence in all your verses as if they were a plea to return your loved one. You ask her not to fade away because now you will love her as a real being, since now both of you are not a single being anymore. The pain and sadness will end and you both will recover everything lost, making the reader hope that love will belong to both of you again.

    Very well you interpret the word you title the poem, word derived from the German Doppelgänger. This poetry is a sample of English language proficiency and an excellent sample of sublimated poetic art.
