Fine lines

I can immerse
myself in a range of ideas,
but undoubtedly, writing to you
is akin to the sharp edge of a knife.

However, I write
because you are the window
through which I'm able to see you,
line by line, each day.​

I write because poems
are mirrors and I must accept myself,
be practical, and write without knowing
whether it will have significance or be forgotten
in your mind. In the end, I hope you are somewhat
aware that this is meant for you, that I’m doing well
without the intricacies of refined poetry, or your presence.

gracias por tu visita y comentar y dejar la primera marca o huella en la obra de este humilde escritor, que muchas veces lucha con la ortografía y la expresión poética para sobrevivir. Quiero informarte que he recibido este humilde poema, del que hoy gustas luego de realizar ofrendas al Dios de la literatura, entre ellas luciérnagas, pinacates y algún que otro cangrejo enamorado. Tu comentario realmente me alegra, es como una alegre música, especialmente en pinche lunes. Even though I don't know you, I have a feeling that you are not only an excellent commentator, and person, but also a magnificent poet. I appreciate you for your continuous support.
