The night

    In the night everything is still
    no sounds, a nothingless
    i feel calm and easy

    A time to be alone with my thoughts
    a time to wonder
    what if..

    Nothing will disturb me
    i can be alone
    alone and think.

    It is soothing..
    i can hear my own thoughts
    i feel my own.

    The darkness calms me
    why can't it be night all the time
    the night air is magical.

    I feel de spell of night come over me
    it captures me
    i can't get away.

    I will haunt you and swallow you hole
    the darkness takes over
    there is no escaping.

    And than, there is the morning glory
    the world wakes up again
    i am not alone anymore.

    The daily rush starts again
    back to reality
    you have to hurry and rush again.

    No time to be alone
    alone with my thoughts
    i have to struggle and keep my head above the water.

    I have to struggle to keep up
    to keep up with the daily rush
    and keep hoping that the nigth falls soon.

    So i can be ad ease once more
    when the calm and trusting feeling falls over my again
    the only time there is no room for judgment.

    Very true, at night when everyone has gone to sleep and the house is silent it's easier to think. There's no hustle and bustle to disturb the thoughts. As a matter of fact, this happened to me last night so I can totally relate.

    and to feel it with philosophical verses that admit no discussion. In your lyricism
    I can see the need for the existence of the night, with its tenderness and its

    I understand the need for and value of being alone. It is sometimes the only way we can refresh and recharge ourselves. We can think about our lives without judgment or fear. It is often very difficult to retain our wholeness and integrity when we are with other people or are subject to social pressures.
