UNSEEN THORN

They don't return, those days
that paved an intrinsic collage
of joys, now your image fades
in these eyes, in their mirage.

Renounce my light, my stars,
my unmarred bliss, my kiss,
a simple heart without the scars,
my night, my dream, my peace.

Surrender the unseen cause
capitalizing on your freedom,
calmly murdering all my hopes,
its mortal sting, its unseen thorn.

The murder of hopes causes an impossible existence. No wonder such sadness saturates your poem. I see that it was written last year. I hope that invisible thorn that so torments you has dislodged itself no longer causing a renouncing or surrendering of what you hold dear. A truly beautiful poem.
