lluvia & rain
Can you see me?
When you walk in the room and a corner consumes me,
and the thought of you near, melts the spine
could you see, would you sense this?
My lips shake, I’m nervous,
out of character, nonsensical.
What is it?
I must hide, you’re closer, but where
I can’t see from there,
Where?
Do you see me, trying to find the right smile,
the right word, the right phrase and everything
stays in that place, where I look in your
eyes, I think, and you see me.
I am more then,
more than a pair of nervous lips,
shaking away in the flutter
of knowing you near me
of knowing you near me
wishing you closer to the corner
that pretends how you see me.
