Broken Wings

She could fly no more,
The cruelty of a life
Her patterned wings tore.

She had been deprived
From ever reaching the sun,
And no matter how much she tried
It seemed as if her time was gone.

Breathing with difficulty she cried,
She cried to the gods, she cried to the stars,
But no one would listen
For they were all lies.

She could fly no more,
The cruelty of a life
Her frail wings tore.

Ill with despair
She knelt down to die.
Life hadn’t been fair,
The strings could not be tied.

Darkness covered the all.
Empty was her soul now.
No light could reach her core.
All she could do was bow,

Bow to her sorrow and pain.
Blood, tears, and ice,
Was that all she would ever gain?

No more could she fly.
Her fading wings, life tore.
She knelt down to die;
The ice had reached her core.

what a sad poem, but so beautiful, i just can image the suffer of those people who can't reach the sky, is so sad to hear the things you describe but thats the sad reality
