conversación abierta con tu foto

Mientras tú viajas por el mundo
conociendo personas que te hablan
de las banalidades de sus vidas perdidas
yo aquí sentado en una vieja banca de plaza
contemplo como unos pájarillos danzan
al compas de su vuelo corto y preciso
y me pregunto
¿de que servira estar tan lejos de este amor que nos tenemos?
si cada vez que suena el telefono
y escuchamos nuestras voces vibrantes
nuestros sentidos se despiertan y se buscan
como el hijo que busca a su madre en medio de la multitud.

Mientras tú sacas fotos a lugares hermosos
que ya tuvieron su tiempo
y ahora solo son recuerdos postrados de fantasmas
yo aquí dentro de una vieja iglesia de pueblo
leo la última carta que me enviaste
en enero pasado,
explicandome que allá donde estás todo es hermoso
