COVID-19 hit this year with absolutely no warning
Who would’ve known that a virus was so alarming?
That something so small would bring entire nations to a stop
People with money but not being able to go anywhere to shop
The death toll rising every day yet people don’t really believe
Its not until someone close gets sick and we start to grieve
It wasn’t until I spent 10 weeks in quarantine that I actually cared
Getting COVID-19 left me basically impaired
The fevers, the chills, the pain that would never disappear
Taking so many medications that would leave me in fear
That I would end up in the hospital because I wasn’t getting better
My parents going crazy thinking I was writing my final letter
I can’t even begin to explain how I felt when I got that positive
How many times did I pray it would be a negative?
Thankfully I got better from the comforts of my home…
