De la tierra y delhombre

Fue virgen, fue solemne, fue madre nuestra tierra
y en cada condición acrisoló sus montes,
sus ríos, sus cavernas de frutos silenciosos,
sus joyas de rocío que amamantan a la abeja,
sus prados cual mantel en el festín de la existencia.
Y el hombre, sólo el hombre, se coronó en su altura,
la poseyó de noche, acarició sus costas,
