    Don’t Leave Me Alone [With the Portrait of April]

    With the paintbrush of a god
    she was damned in a portrait;
    in my mind.

    Now her beauty immortalized
    in the sadness of my pupils;
    tonight.

    And framed on my wall
    her picture looks so pretty;
    haunting me
    once more.

    Don’t leave me alone with the portrait of April,
    Her beautiful eyes and her mournful cry.

    Don’t leave me alone with the portrait of April,
    For fear that this madness will surely make me die.

    And even if she doesn’t understand
    Looking from far so high,
    the way that I love her
    and the reason why
    this bitter insanity of mine
    pushes me to the ground,
    when loving is a crime
    finds me guilty
    and pulls me down.

    And yet

    In my sleep
    I dream
    With your hands.

    In my sleep
    I dream
    With your smile…

    Your smile…

    In a desperate cry for help
    I can’t help breaking;
    Into tears.

    But her portrait still remains
    And I continue lying;
    At it’s feet.

    The greatest expression of art
    is the silk of her skin;
    under her sheets
    where I lived.

    Don’t leave me alone with the portrait of April,
    Her beautiful eyes and her mournful cry.

    Don’t leave me alone with the portrait of April,
    For fear that this madness will surely make me die
