Foolish Games

When dreams are this beautiful,
it's not easy to let them go,
we hold on to them
as if our lives depended on
keep on fooling ourselves.
I want to keep on dreaming though
for only when I dream am I alive,
I can take a walk on the clouds,
I am so high that
I can almost touch the sky.
Don't dreams have a limit?
aren't they only illusions?
I want to keep on dreaming though
for my dreams give me faith
to still believe in humankind.
So, don't you wake me up
from my beautiful dreams,
for only in them I find peace of mind
in my dreams, not only do I exist,
but I feel alive.
If dreams are foolish games,
please, Lord, let me keep on fooling myself!
