He’s a junkie, they say
an infernal thing
where did he come from?
they can’t explain.

Did he come from an egg?
A marsupial’s pouch?
Is his head a pumpkin, is he a Halloween freak?

They say he has relatives
governed by society
does that explain his origin, and why he can’t land on his feet?

He flies by day and by night
he’ll never rest, it seems
is it because he likes flying and doesn’t want to sleep?
