Los niños del Catón

Fuimos niños del catón
de babi blanco y maleta
con pizarra y pizarrín
nos enseñaron las letras.
Aprendimos bien la tabla
agolpe de la palmeta.
Leche en polvo americana.
Cara al Sol y mucha iglesia.
Y quedan para el recuerdo
esas fotos tan bien hechas:
Las del mapa en la pared
y el libro abierto en la mesa.
Tuvimos la comunión,
no como ahora se lleva,
era traje de organdí
el limosnero y la vela.
Y los niños no digamos
