My mother’s love- Cinquain attempt

This is my first try at a Cinquain. I have just read the explanation from the 2017 initial post which I found very interesting. In this attempt I used the example of the
“November nights” from Adelaide Crapsey as my guide.
I would appreciate feedback.




My Mother’s love

It’s there…
Of immense depth,
like the deepest blue sea.
Hidden in the caves
of her mind.
She forgets.

 

I think you just nailed right on the head. The 2-4-6-8-2 count is pretty apparent to me and, in spirit and style, it's a Cinquain all the way. Good read!
