Six feet about entomb my silks,
though it’s not there that I lay still.

My flight descends upon your shoulder, heavily
as time suspends what I have I lived and carried,
but not my will, not my soul.

At this, their final resting place,
I leave burden and worries.

It is a place to finally rest
calcium in ashes.

My soul will carry.

Angels sing the song of grief
a voice in tune with Gabriel’s.
An infant spreads about white petals
though for today, not at my feet.

My love takes in a final scene
as if with me a final breath
though pain consumes him,
with thoughts of death
his face appears serene.

"April Rain",
When reading your distressful and excellent poem, only comes a question to my my mind: Are you imagining a poetic form to die in which it is possible to lie down for always without having to die? This is another poem that doesn't finish at the end of the poem but in the mind of the reader , who will help you ( although you don´t need any help) to complete your words with other words of his own, although they don´t have the beauty, the intensity and the mysteries of yours. As always, I have liked your poem and I want to be first in congratulate you.
Fraternally,
Ramiro

Your poem reminded me to a song I like much (i'll send you the link latter)
Even tough you are talking about death... it sounds so peaceful, like a final surrender to something that must happen and can't be avoided.
Tha part of the calcium in ashes... i never saw someone else to write like that, so i enjoyed to see it.
I'm still thinking you are pretty interesting.
Hugs for you. a pleasure to read you.

Ramiro,

Thank you so much for such a kind response. I am elated and flattered that you find the poem a mystery.

In this very ambitious poem -I propose, as a way of coping with mortality/death, that the body is a silk garment, that our spirit tranforms very much like a butterly -where the shell is life or even the grave and must be shed ...

I thank you once again for reading me.

A huge hug.
