Ode to Susie

Innocence lost at a tender thirteen
her body laid cut up hidden and unseen.
She sleeps in the dirt
while her family is hurt
and although your body is not here,
your spirit we sense is near.
The memory of your death gives us chills
but the memories of your life fill us with thrills.
It's been a while since your passing
but your loss still make our hear sting.
It's hard to stop our crying
we're like you, inside we're dying.
Susie Salmon it's unreal your're gone
you'll still be with us while life goes on.​

This is a poem dedicated to all whom has lost a family member.
