On Stage

Once I heard
That the world is a stage,
A weeping theatre
Of bloody plays.

In my play
You were the girl
I cared and loved.

You learned the scrip

Never missed a phrase.

You did a great performance.

You made me laugh,
You made me cry;
But over all things
You fascinated me
You filled my mind
And collapsed my heart.

But suddenly
The curtain went down
And when it lifted up
You where no longer
there.

Be the girl on stage,

I would better be dead,
