Caigo... en brazos de ésta noche;
caigo, como la noche misma,
Una noche tan hermana
de la que te tuve entre mis dedos,
y, sin embargo, tan ajena.

A veces, a veces las noches que perdimos
regresan huérfanas
a pasar el invierno conmigo
y yo las cobijo,
les doy de beber mi boca y y mis huesos,
y ellas, sedientas de ti,
beben sin saber que sólo soy
lo que queda de nosotros.

Soy yo, lo que queda, mi querida ausencia,
soy lo que queda y el que se queda, de igual forma,
a presenciar,
junto con las estrellas
y la luna (ya sea llena o vacía)
