Romance sobre "La verdad"
(debate inútil con dos poetas muertos)

Quiero expresar hoy aquí
que aunque los admiro y quiero
no puedo menos que estar
en desacuerdo con ellos.
Son mis maestros, lo sé
mas también tengo derecho
a pensar y a disentir
de lo que dicen sus textos
y a decirles mi opinión
si no me parecen ciertos.


Empiezo por don Antonio
Machado y por su proverbio

¡Soberbio!, Juan otro poema grande. Aunque te digo una cosa. Con esos amigos muertos/vivos mantengo mis diálogos. Ellos me lo escriben y yo lo comparto o disiento, como tú en este caso. En cuanto a la verdad, sabemos que es subjetiva, pero sumando todas las verdades subjetivas encontraremos la verdad que buscaba Machado. Quizá no la encontremos nunca, pero en buscarla seguro que iremos creciendo.
De cualquier forma insisto y me reitero en tu buen romance.
No se cuando me dejarán darte reputación, mis estrellas y admiración la tienes.

Pues claro que se puede hablar (y hasta discutir) con los muertos, Epimeteo, si lo sabré yo, y, por cierto son debates que para nada son inútiles. Lo que digo en esos versos es otra pequeña impostura poética.

acerca de la verdad,

pero sí mi admiración

por quien su capacidad

es evidente en los versos,

desgranándolos diversos,

con belleza y pulcritud;

y en su misma magnitud

imaginar dialogando

las letras de dos titanes

para decírles que tienen

cada uno su razón;

mas existe como en todo

una tercera a debate

la que discurre su parte

por el jardín del ingenio

y al compás de sus afanes

es contraste con aquellas.

El mérito es indudable

el arrojo consecuente,

¿quién sino tan convincente

no es talento bien notable?
