~ Simple Wood I am thee one yonder seeking, as so in way,
I leave behind me where they lay one so the many
these crisping leaves, as so aspiring my feet do move,
to taste them freshly at last in ending.
So will come these leaves to play more beyond this path
the one way higher and narrow winding.
For Thy will, it is this day again I am finding, for all to remain
to be as docile and as free, as moreover and to secure.
Beyond me and with a hand I bend one a given knee
to pick one from this leafy jest a tender leaf.
As amid the beauty abound and in way of me, so aware
I am so taken to see this my one now humbled souls,
sole reflection, so given in the certain beauty and nature,
of the leaf, as I know one, I am a man alive, and lost I am,
so alone without Him, so now as to gesture in way of this I move.
To give this, the openness of my recognition, and so
as to let go I move to set this my one captive spirit free.
For now I have found it to be this blessed lesson in lieu herein
within this simple wood, in lieu the crisping of the leaves.
Ah the given beauty, in lieu the freshness, of the leaves. ~
