Stop your mind for a minute

Stop your mind for a minute
near the bank of a creek
listen to the gentle sound
of the half current
trickling meekly
downstream. ​

Rest your tired feet
drink more than a bit
think of me. ​

Earlier I stopped
by the same nook
droplets fell on my lips
propelling quietly
from a bed of pebbles
breaking underneath ​

I sit hurriedly
a scent never so sweet

the thought of you, like a beloved woman, all thirst is satisfied.
