Stop your mind for a minute
near the bank of a creek
listen to the gentle sound
of the half current
trickling meekly
downstream.

Rest your tired feet
drink more than a bit
think of me.

Earlier I stopped
by the same nook
droplets fell on my lips
propelling quietly
from a bed of pebbles
breaking underneath

I sit hurriedly
a scent never so sweet
and smile is bequeathed
while images travel
swiftly up creek.
