I see you leaning on my bed
You look so pretty tonight
I can’t get you out of my head
Please hold me tight.

I kiss your throat so kind
I touch your skin with my fingertips
I can’t get you out of my mind
You clean my tears with your lips.

But then I wake up
And you are not here
I was only dreaming
Just like yesterday
And the night before…

After I wake to another day
I get up and wash my face
Crying against the mirror
And weeping for your embrace.

Time passes sad and grey
The same as it always does
