    Those Moments . . .

    You know those moments
When you’re trying to sleep at night
Yet your brain won’t stop thinking
Can’t rest try as you might.

    Those little moments
When you get to ponder about your day
    Or maybe write some poems
Do I feel depressed? Nay I say.

    Those stinking moments
When your senses are agonizingly acute
When your sister kicks you in her sleep
But your pain must remain mute.

    Those enlightening moments
When you discover some hidden truth
    When you finally understand
The meaning behind the stories of Sarah, Rebbekah, and Ruth.

    Those blessed moments
When you find time to finish the book
Without having your mom scold you
Twenty-four hours, that’s all it took.

    Those desired moments
When at last you open that letter
Cry and laugh as you read his words
A bit longer would’ve been better.

    Those blissful moments
    Wednesday night after that date
Yeah, now you’re grounded but who cares
It was worth it, coming home super late.

    Those melancholic moments
When you think the more about him
Of how much you miss your friend
The light of hope gets the more dim.

    Those quiet moments
When your mind takes you everywhere
Bringing memories of your old man
How you wish you could be there.

    Those blue moments
When you can cry as you want
    No one to bother you
And also no one to understand.

    The lingering moments
    That won’t leave you alone
    You need to catch sleep
    But sleep has just gone.

    Those uplifting moments
When you get to reverently pray
And hear the small, still voice whisper
It’ll all work out the next day.

    Those treasured moments
No sleeping pill can truly end
When your eyes feel really tired
    When dreams and reality blend.

Wow, my young and talented poet, these verses are beautifuly expressed.
I can understand that this hability comes from your father but obviously it is your soul and your heart directly writing with poetry's ink.
You have my deep admiration, surely I'll keep reading your creations and here you are: all stars from heaven and sky simustaneously.
    Lots of hugs and kisses,:::hug::::::hug:::

Thank you Liz, I really appreciate your comment.

I also believe that poetry runs in my veins, and does come from the heart and the soul. Like expressed in another poem, one must have the soul of a poet to write poetry. And that's what I do.

Thank you again for the comment.

    Besos y saludos.
