What is love?

Who knows what love is?
Is it just what is portrayed in love movies?
Is it all just something someone makes up in a novel?
I'm in need,
In need of someone telling me,
Love is this,
It's something wonderful,
It's something special,
It's what everyone will one day feel,
It will make you wonder,
Is it really there?
So I sit here, looking around at everyone,
What do I see?
I see people talking,
talking about their love,
Ofcouse there's no perfect world,
It's something like a flower,
beautiful, amazing, whatever names you want to call it,
but one day it will disappear,
it will die.
I'm a bit confused, is love happiness?
or does it only give people loneliness?

Here's the deal, the poem is excesively pretty, you know what I mean? There is a hell of a difference between pretyness and beauty. I think the most powerfull part of the text is the comparison of the world to a flower, try working that idea. Remember: beauty smells like shit.

 

Es un buen poema pero te faltó profundidad, mas que poema pareciera una pregunta al lector, y en ese sentido no aporta mucho.
Si la idea era intrigar e insitar al lector a pensar acerca de lo que és el amor, creo que quizá debiste plantearlo de otra manera. Pero te aplaudo tu entusiasmo e interes, sigue adelante.
