Ever wondered what’s beyond the moon?
Why the stars in the night sky shine so bright?
Have you ever closed your eyes and wondered,
what would it be like to be in a different world?

I look into your beautiful dark eyes
and see so much pain and suffering
so much loneliness, so much depression
and wonder where did the happiness go?

Is it hiding behind that mysterious moon?
Are the stars so bright that I can’t see
where the happiness was lost, so that
I can reach with my hands and bring it back to earth?

I wonder when and where did it all go?

Winterfairy, I dare say that your poem is amazing, because at first when I was reading, I thought everything was very clear and happy, beyond the romantic things. But after a while, I realize is something deeper, something darker. Is a like a mourning to a person who I believed was able to show you through his eyes the beauty of the world, and things from sky and beyond.

Thank you so much for your comment. I am really glad that you liked it. I did learn to see the world through the eyes of someone who was very important in my life. Someone who always made me feel special, one word from his lips and all my pain laid forgotten, but nothing is forever and my family tore us apart. I came back to the US and he stayed in Puerto Rico. Some days you feel so lonely that you can't help but wonder...

Winter, permíteme contestar a tu poema en español, mi inglés no es tan fluido como para hacerme entender y no quiero dejar escapar ninguna idea para transmitirte todo lo que tus letras me han hecho pensar. La melancolía por la lejanía del ser querido solo es comparable con la desaparición de un trozo de vida. Tu desgarrado sentimiento alumbra mis sobras del inglés y me hace percibir ese dolor por la ausencia. Querida amiga, ma encantaron tus letras. Mis besos y estrellas viajan a US para tí.

 

Gracias por tus bellas palabras, eres de las pocas personas que entiende y percibe los sentimientos escondidos tras las palabras. En cuanto al ingles debo serte sincera, me gusta mas escribir en espaÑol, no se, como que en espaÑol me siento mas comoda. Yo naci en new york y mis abuelos se mudaron a puerto rico cuando yo tenia 8 aÑos. Durante mis primeros aÑos apenas sabia leer un poco espaÑol y con el paso del tiempo se me olvido el ingles, luego de adulta y tras un corazon hecho trizas me fui de nuevo a new york y recupere el ingles. (perdona la falta de acentos, estoy usando la computadora de mi trabajo y todo es en mayusculas). Recibe de mi parte besos y estrellas y un enorme cariÑo desde eu, con un poquito de nieve
