Sadness, Loneliness, Depression

I can feel you creeping up on me,
turning my life upside-down, inside-out.
You, the uninvited guest,
the unwelcome visitor.
You have made my heart your home;
You chose me as your host
and without shame took everything from me.
You stole my smile and replaced it with a frown.
You filled my eyes with innumerable tears.
You turned my dreams into nightmares,
and I only have one question for you:

If I didn’t invite you in, why did you come?
Why did you show up in my life?
You, with all of your different names: sadness, loneliness, depression…

Will you ever go away so I can again see the stars and the moon?
So that I can again close my eyes and dream?
Will you ever allow me to live again…?

A great ode to the uninvited guests--we must make sure they don't stay. Draw the line and shake the rug as we point the way--or just stop serving breakfast..

Sadness, Loneliness, Depression yeapp, everything is there. What a great & sad poem at the same time my friend. I could feel all your dissapointment about that uninvited guest, and I understand you. You let someone in, you gave it all......but it didn't work...but follow this advice: you love, you fought, you lost......but walk tall!. please receive my congratulations and a big hug from meeeeee!!..PEMBERLEEEEEEYY!::::
