OF SPARROWS AND BELLS

sparrows often fly nearby

over the treetops

moving ever so gracefully,

bells often ring nearby

with a deafening roar

especially on Sunday mornings

and Wednesday nights;

cheerfully, whole heartily,

laughing,

while I wait

for the rain to arrive

Naturally that you would prefer the sparrows because you love nature, I on the other hand prefer the sound of the bells like those of the churches in Sevilla, Segovia and Madrid because it was there that we made a pact several times. As the urban legend would say, that if you whisper your love inside the church while the bells are silent, they in return will scream your words unto the wind

sweet kisses on your beautiful neck...

Lovely poem, minimalist yet filled with fantastic imagery. I love that little bit of karma in that "while I wait/for the rain to arrive" to wrap things up. I would replace "whole heartily", a common misspelling of "wholeheartedly".

Have a great weekend!
